I’m getting an ATARI 800XE

Kevin is to blame for this, as he is for quite a few turning points in my life. He is a very good long-time friend of mine and I was even his best man at his wedding. He was reminiscing about the good old days and telling me how much he would like to play on an ATARI again. I immediately found one for him on Bazoš, and a few days later Kevin was already sending me a photo of himself playing our favourite Polish game, MISJA.

What the young rascal did not know was that I had not been idle either and had ordered an ATARI 800XE in its original packaging from ebay.de. The computer arrived on exactly the day our family was leaving for a well-deserved holiday at my wife’s parents in the Beskids, so there was no time for a closer look. The computer has yellowed quite a lot over the years, but otherwise appears well preserved. The original cardboard box is dirty and slightly torn. For now, the computer remains stored exactly as it arrived.
